HELLO!

My name is Preeti Nair and I’m a resident of the city of bridges, Pittsburgh, PA.

It feels like yesterday that I decided to give-up my active Marketing career when our daughter arrived. She formed the center of our universe and looking back, I couldn’t have made a better decision!

Today, she has moved to the upper elementary, independent and poised, it is time for me to embark on a new journey. The new phase is about following the heart and engage in something that we enjoy doing, it had to be photography! My husband, Narayanan Nair (best known as NN) and I collectively have over 16 years of experience behind the camera, and our endeavor is to ‘tell a story’ through the images we make!

We love working with children and their universe. They are fun, can be funny and unpredictable, which makes it a unique experience each time! A quote from Diane Arbus, the famous American photographer, that I read recently aptly articulates the challenge and excitement, “Taking pictures is like tiptoeing into the kitchen late at night and stealing Oreo cookies.”

WHY US?

We work with children and their universe; their family, friends, pets, toys, their hobbies and passions! Our passion is working with children and capture some of their special and timeless moments! We story those memories!

We believe each child is unique, their personality, dreams, and preferences! Their laughter, excitement, antics, tears, pranks and curiosities tell a story of underlying emotions and feelings! We write that story through our pictures!

Our Values

At every stage of our engagement, we are guided by two Values:
• Care: Our endeavor is to make each picture come alive and reflect the feelings and love behind them.
• Trust: We understand our customers trust us with their precious moments! We take care to live up to that trust through quality of work, aesthetically, technical superiority and reliability.

Our name “Misaaki”

Misaki is of Japanese origin and means "Beautiful Bloom", as are children. MI meaning 'beauty', and SAKI meaning "bloom/blossom". For us, it’s more than that…, the name celebrates Mishty and Saki!

Let’s capture your story.
